Transit of Venus

I’ve always loved astronomy and everything to do with the stars. Purchasing a telescope is still on my list of things to do and one of the best parts of going to the cabin is seeing all the wonderful stars out at night away from all the city lights. When I heard about the transit of Venus and that it was going to be the last one until 2117 I knew I had to go see it! Luckily, the Manitoba Museum had set up telescopes at Assiniboine Park for others to be able to use it. There were lots of people there who had set up their telescopes and were graciously letting other people use them.
It was interesting seeing the phenomenon, it was such a tiny little speck in the sky.
